The Detroit Regional Chamber is launching Maverick Marketing Mondays, a new lunch series designed to help small businesses market themselves without a large budget.
The chamber says the series will boast a lineup of national and local speakers who are successful "mavericks" in their industries and don't give the run-of-the-mill boring PowerPoint presentations.
Each session will be limited to 60 participants so the presenters are able to engage audience members. The lunches will be held at the Detroit Zoo from noon to 1:15 p.m.
The first season of Maverick Marketing Mondays kicks-off Oct. 13 with a session entitled "Become Relevant or I'll Ignore You." The presenter will be Peter DeLegge, publisher of "Marketing Today," one of the country's highest rated marketing blogs and online magazines.
Registration for each session of Maverick Marketing Mondays is $20 for Detroit Regional Chamber members, $40 for non-members. Chamber members can also purchase a season pass to all four sessions of season one for only $65.
